Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Plumbers: Perform routine installation, maintenance, and repair tasks under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Tool Management: Maintain and organize all tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and ready for daily operations.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by laying out pipes, measuring, cutting, and threading according to blueprints and specifications.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients to explain issues and answer questions regarding plumbing services.
- Code Compliance: Adhere to all local and national plumbing codes and safety regulations during all project phases.
- Waste Removal: Ensure proper disposal of debris and hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in tight or confined spaces.
- Driver's License: Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for basic mathematics and geometry.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic.
