Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings under supervision.
- Perform basic pipefitting, including cutting, threading, and joining copper, PVC, and PEX piping.
- Transport tools and materials to job sites, ensuring all equipment is clean and ready for use.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair processes and answer basic questions.
- Prepare job sites by digging trenches, setting forms, and preparing surfaces as directed.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation (required for travel to job sites).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic math skills are essential for calculating measurements and materials.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments (hot attics, cold basements, etc.).
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work on feet for extended periods.
- Strong desire to learn and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required for entry-level candidates.
