Responsibilities
- Assist senior plumbers with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial piping systems.
- Prepare work areas by gathering necessary tools, materials, and blueprints.
- Perform basic pipe cutting, threading, and soldering under supervision.
- Inspect work sites for safety hazards and ensure compliance with local building codes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including tools and vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair needs and costs.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and hours worked.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements.
- Willingness to learn and obtain required state plumbing certifications.
- Reliable transportation to job sites.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls.
