Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Learn to interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams under supervision.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, including stripping wire, bending conduit, and installing outlets and switches.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites as directed.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project status.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to master new techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions.
