Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery safely (excavators, forklifts, bulldozers) with proper certifications
- Assist carpenters and masons with material installation and structural work
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with blueprints
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job site environment
- Collaborate with supervisors to adjust workflows based on project timelines
- Document daily progress and report safety concerns immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather
- Proficiency with hand/power tools (saws, drills, levels, etc.)
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
