Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, framing, and demolition
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, forklifts, power tools) with precision and safety awareness
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure project specifications are met
- Maintain clean, organized job sites following OSHA and company safety protocols
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with material handling and preparation
- Perform site preparation tasks including grading, trenching, and debris removal
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with team members to maintain project timelines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous tasks in extreme weather
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and basic construction equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
- Ability to read blueprints and follow verbal/written instructions
- Flexible schedule including overtime and weekend availability
