Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Assist skilled tradespeople with installation of foundations, framing, and finishes
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and comply with OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow verbal/written instructions from supervisors
- Transport materials and equipment using carts, dollies, and forklifts (with certification)
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Experience operating concrete mixers and power tools preferred
- OSHA 30-hour certification a plus
