Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial properties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code and NYC building regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting methods
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople on-site
- Perform safety inspections and implement hazard prevention measures
- Complete detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- Valid New York State electrician license (Master/Journeyman)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical experience
- Proven knowledge of NEC codes and NYC Local Laws 52 & 54
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Physical stamina for climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
