Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to ensure compliance with local and national codes
- Diagnose electrical faults using specialized testing equipment and implement effective solutions
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Mentor junior electricians and assist with training on new technologies and procedures
- Complete detailed documentation of work performed and materials used for billing and compliance
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois electrician license (Journeyman or Master required)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical experience in commercial/residential settings
- Proficiency with NEC codes, OSHA regulations, and local Chicago building requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex electrical systems and components
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for emergency services as needed
