Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and water heaters
- Diagnose plumbing issues using advanced diagnostic tools and provide cost-effective solutions
- Ensure all work complies with NYC plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Perform pipefitting, drain cleaning, and backflow prevention system maintenance
- Collaborate with contractors and property managers on renovation projects
- Provide emergency plumbing services during off-hours as needed
- Maintain accurate service records and inventory of plumbing materials
Qualifications
- Valid New York State plumbing license (Plumber Class 1 or 2)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential plumbing experience
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical schematics
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong knowledge of NYC plumbing codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and customer communication skills
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
