Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, lighting, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout and wiring of electrical circuits.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Guide and mentor junior apprentices or helpers when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of North Carolina.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical construction or maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
