Responsibilities
- Lead strategic R&D initiatives targeting 2026's emerging tech landscape (quantum AI, bio-integrated systems, decentralized networks)
- Architect cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, product, and design teams
- Secure $5M+ in annual R&D funding through compelling tech roadmaps and ROI projections
- Partner with MIT and Stanford's future-tech incubators for IP development
- Develop patent portfolios in next-gen computing paradigms and sustainable tech
- Present quarterly innovation blueprints to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor a team of 12+ specialists in emerging technologies and agile methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Engineering, or related field (Master's with 10+ years experience considered)
- 8+ years in tech R&D leadership with 3+ years in emerging technologies
- Proven track record of commercializing future-focused innovations
- Expertise in quantum computing architectures or AI ethics frameworks
- Published research in IEEE/ACM journals on 2026-relevant technologies
- Secured $3M+ in government/private innovation grants
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum simulation platforms
