Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains (AI ethics, quantum applications, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging academia, startups, and enterprise partners
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through market analysis and patent landscapes
- Develop innovation frameworks for ethical technology adoption and scaling
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build and mentor a high-impact innovation lab team
- Pioneer open-source initiatives to accelerate industry-wide progress
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching tech products/services with >$10M impact
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business with tech focus
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning abilities
- Strong network within Silicon Valley and global tech ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in technology journals or conferences
- Experience scaling innovation teams from concept to commercialization
