Responsibilities
- Lead research and development of next-gen technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech integration)
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligning emerging tech with business objectives for 2026-2030
- Manage a portfolio of innovation projects with $5M+ annual budget
- Build and lead a cross-disciplinary team of 8-12 specialists
- Partner with C-suite to present technology insights and secure executive buy-in
- Secure patents and publish white papers on breakthrough innovations
- Establish industry partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech R&D with 5+ years in strategic leadership roles
- Proven track record scaling emerging technologies to commercial viability
- Expertise in at least three future-tech domains (AI, quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Exceptional stakeholder management across technical and executive audiences
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies
- Experience with agile development in uncharted technological territories
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making
