Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning for 2026 technology initiatives across AI, quantum, and sustainability domains
- Identify emerging tech trends and translate them into actionable R&D priorities
- Manage cross-functional teams of researchers and engineers to execute moonshot projects
- Develop patentable innovations and publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Present technology roadmaps to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Maintain competitive intelligence through market analysis and tech scouting
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in emerging tech R&D with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record of shipping breakthrough AI/quantum/sustainability projects
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (e.g., quantum machine learning, carbon-negative AI)
- Strong publication record at NeurIPS, Nature, or equivalent venues
- Exceptional strategic planning and cross-functional leadership abilities
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government project access
