Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum, AI, neuromorphic computing) for strategic implementation
- Forge partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders to accelerate R&D initiatives
- Present technology strategy to C-suite executives and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Oversee pilot programs for breakthrough technologies, measuring ROI and scalability
- Develop intellectual property portfolios to protect competitive advantages
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory impacts on technology adoption
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with exposure to emerging tech ecosystems
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- Proven track record of commercializing at least two disruptive technologies
- Expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or synthetic biology applications
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex technological scenarios
- Strong network within venture capital and academic innovation communities
- Experience securing multi-million dollar R&D budgets and managing P&L for tech initiatives
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management (e.g., CFIP) highly desirable
