- Identify emerging tech disruptions and develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board members with data-driven insights
- Manage a $5M+ innovation budget and vendor ecosystem for experimental technologies
- Mentor a team of 8-12 researchers and engineers in cutting-edge development practices
- Develop IP strategies to protect breakthrough innovations and secure competitive advantages
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record of commercializing breakthrough innovations (quantum/AI/biotech)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Expertise in technology adoption lifecycle management and market timing
- Strong network with DARPA, NSF, and global research institutions
- Published author in peer-reviewed journals on technology futures
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (CFP) or Technology Innovation Management
- Experience scaling innovation teams from concept to market leadership
