Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic technology roadmaps for 2026-2030, prioritizing emerging innovations with commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech integration
- Partner with C-suite executives to align technology investments with long-term business objectives
- Identify and evaluate disruptive startups for potential acquisition or partnership opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to investors, board members, and industry consortiums
- Manage a $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Mentor junior strategists while maintaining hands-on involvement in prototype development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 or scale-up companies
- Proven track record of launching at least two breakthrough technologies to market
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, blockchain, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex technological adoption curves
- Strong network within Silicon Valley's venture capital and startup ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications
- Experience securing government grants for futuristic technology initiatives
