Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies and assess market viability through trend analysis and competitive intelligence
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and regulatory landscapes
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate technical concepts into product roadmaps
- Establish KPIs for innovation initiatives and track progress against strategic milestones
- Present findings to C-suite and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Build partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology implications
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or product innovation with Fortune 500 or high-growth tech firms
- Deep expertise in emerging tech domains: quantum computing, generative AI, biotech, or climate tech
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products or services
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certifications in technology foresight or innovation management preferred
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic modeling methodologies
- Portfolio of published research or patents in emerging technologies
