Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with global market trends and scientific breakthroughs
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and domain experts in prototyping next-gen solutions
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies for C-suite executives
- Champion ethical AI frameworks and sustainable tech deployment principles
- Secure $50M+ in R&D funding through grant proposals and venture partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years in R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/bio)
- Expertise in technology forecasting and scenario planning methodologies
- Strong network within global tech innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, Cambridge, Shenzhen)
- Prior experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) and corporate venture capital
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) with >500 citations
