Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including AGI, biotech fusion, and climate-positive infrastructure
- Lead cross-functional R&D sprints to prototype disruptive solutions with potential $100M+ market impact
- Establish strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and global innovation labs
- Present future technology frameworks to C-suite executives and board stakeholders
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts affecting tech adoption timelines
- Curate internal innovation challenges with $500K+ annual prototyping budgets
- Mentor junior researchers in futures thinking and technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech product development
- Proven track record of launching at least two industry-defining innovations
- Deep expertise in at least three future-critical domains: quantum systems, synthetic biology, or decentralized AI
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or top-tier tech publications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field
- Fluency in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Experience securing $1M+ in innovation grants or venture funding
- Global network of technology pioneers and academic influencers
