Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) and assess market viability
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives and consumer trends
- Lead cross-functional workshops to integrate future tech into product development lifecycles
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders with data-driven insights
- Build partnerships with research institutions and startups to access innovation pipelines
- Monitor competitive landscapes and disruptors in adjacent sectors
- Establish KPIs for future technology adoption and ROI measurement
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends with documented impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, AR/VR, blockchain, etc.)
- Experience developing multi-year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Strong presentation skills for executive audiences and external stakeholders
- Master's degree in Technology, Business, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or future studies
