Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026-2030 technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional initiatives integrating quantum computing, biotech, and AI convergence
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with $1B+ market potential
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and AI governance
- Partner with VCs and startups to scout and acquire disruptive innovations
- Present strategic recommendations to the board and executive leadership
- Manage $5M+ R&D portfolio for future technology incubation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership within Fortune 500 or hypergrowth startups
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, neurotech)
- Proven track record of launching products with 7-figure ARR or impact
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature, or equivalent tier publications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with patent strategy and IP commercialization
- Strong network within DARPA, NASA, or equivalent innovation ecosystems
- Fluency in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Delphi 2.0)
