Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging tech (quantum, AI, biotech) and translate opportunities into actionable business strategies
- Partner with C-suite executives to align technology investments with enterprise vision and investor expectations
- Author thought leadership publications and present at global tech forums on future technology trends
- Oversee pilot programs for breakthrough technologies with potential to disrupt $1B+ markets
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, government labs, and venture capital networks
- Define KPIs for future-tech initiatives and track ROI through advanced analytics frameworks
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic technology planning with 3+ years in future-tech or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech experience preferred)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD or MBA strongly preferred
- Deep expertise in technology forecasting methodologies and scenario planning frameworks
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets and cross-continental teams
- Published thought leadership in top-tier tech publications or peer-reviewed journals
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management (e.g., CFTE, CMI) desirable
