Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections and organizational goals
- Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech convergence)
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify disruptive opportunities
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Oversee pilot programs for breakthrough technologies with 18-24 month commercialization timelines
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with research institutions and venture capital firms
- Establish KPI frameworks for measuring technology adoption and ROI
- Author thought leadership content on future technology trends and their societal impacts
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in technology strategy, innovation management, or future-focused R&D
- Proven track record developing and executing multi-year technology roadmaps
- Expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI/ML, quantum, AR/VR, or synthetic biology)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with technology focus
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Experience managing budgets exceeding $5M for technology initiatives
