Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech convergence)
- Architect proof-of-concept prototypes for next-gen platforms
- Present strategic technology briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Establish innovation metrics and KPIs for technology adoption
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation for future-focused initiatives
- Mentor junior innovation specialists in technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., quantum, synthetic biology, advanced AI)
- Published research or patents in future technologies preferred
- Experience with scenario planning and technology impact assessment
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong track record of launching breakthrough products
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., from WFS or Foresight Institute)
- Fluency in English and Mandarin or Japanese for global partnerships
