Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year technology roadmaps aligning with emerging trends (quantum, neuromorphic computing, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions for healthcare, energy, and autonomous systems
- Analyze emerging technologies for commercial viability and ethical implications
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ R&D budgets for experimental projects
- Partner with academic institutions and government labs on future-focused initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AI governance)
- Proven track record of launching technologies with 3+ years lead time
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Strategic Innovation
- Published research or patents in future technology domains
- Experience with scenario planning and technology adoption curve modeling
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Futures Studies preferred
