Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning for 2026+ technology horizons including quantum computing, AI governance, and climate tech
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging opportunities and threats
- Develop and present technology roadmaps to C-suite executives and board members
- Collaborate with R&D teams to align innovation with market needs and ethical standards
- Represent the company at global tech forums and industry conferences
- Manage cross-functional projects with $10M+ annual innovation budgets
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging tech research
- Proven track record developing multi-year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable infrastructure, or biotech
- PhD or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategies
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and innovation budgets exceeding $5M
- Published thought leadership in technology journals or industry publications
