Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with emerging market trends and industry disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, neural interfaces, and autonomous systems
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough technologies with commercial potential by 2026
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate future tech strategies into corporate vision
- Author thought leadership publications and patents on next-gen innovation paradigms
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused technology portfolio management
- Mentor emerging technologists through our Future Leaders Fellowship program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership, with 5+ years focused on emerging tech
- Proven track record launching technologies with 3+ years market adoption cycles
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- Published research in IEEE Nature or similar tier-1 journals (minimum 3 peer-reviewed papers)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR/STTR) or venture capital for deep tech
- Fluency in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Proficiency in Python and TensorFlow for prototyping AI-driven innovation models
