Responsibilities
- Lead research and analysis of emerging technologies with 3-5 year market impact potential
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligning with organizational 2026 vision
- Identify strategic partnerships and acquisition opportunities in nascent tech sectors
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to C-suite executives
- Oversee pilot programs for experimental technologies with high disruptive potential
- Create frameworks for ethical implementation of breakthrough innovations
- Monitor global tech policy shifts affecting future technology adoption
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership within Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, advanced robotics, or synthetic biology
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (e.g., CFPC, CFS)
- Experience developing technology investment portfolios with $50M+ budgets
- Prior work with regulatory bodies on emerging technology governance frameworks
