Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026 commercial viability
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Technology Radar framework for executive decision support
- Coordinate cross-functional working groups across AI, robotics, and sustainable energy domains
- Author annual 'Future State' whitepapers published in Nature and MIT Technology Review
- Manage $5M innovation incubator portfolio for early-stage 2026-enabling technologies
- Represent company at Davos, CES, and World Economic Forum technology summits
- Mentor junior futurists through our 'Horizon 2026' fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years experience
- Proven track record of commercializing future-focused technologies (3+ exits or IPOs)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, or IEEE Spectrum)
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Scenario Planning)
- Proficiency in Python/R for trend analysis and predictive modeling
- Fluency in Mandarin or German for global stakeholder engagement
- Portfolio demonstrating 2020-2025 technology predictions with >70% accuracy
