Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmap focusing on quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype 2026-era solutions
- Analyze emerging tech disruptors (Web4, AGI, neural interfaces) for competitive positioning
- Develop patent strategies for breakthrough inventions with 2026 commercialization horizons
- Partner with venture capital to identify and acquire promising 2026-adjacent startups
- Present strategic briefings to board members on technological paradigm shifts
- Mentor R&D teams in future-proofing technologies against obsolescence risks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with proven impact on future-focused initiatives
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum, AGI, or synthetic biology
- Published thought leadership on 2026+ technology trends (IEEE, Nature, or equivalent)
- Experience leading $10M+ innovation portfolios with measurable ROI
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., APF, WFS) or equivalent
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ technologies brought from concept to market relevance
