Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 10-year innovation roadmaps for quantum computing and biotechnology convergence
- Lead interdisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and designers to prototype breakthrough technologies
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging scientific trends with commercial potential
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Design ethical frameworks for next-generation AI and biotech applications
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-driven allocation strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computational Physics, Bioengineering, or equivalent field with 8+ years R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Experience with federal innovation grants (DARPA, NSF, ARPA-E)
- Deep expertise in technology foresight methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning)
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals (Nature, Science, Cell)
- Strong background in ethical AI governance and biotech regulation
- Exceptional ability to translate complex scientific concepts for executive audiences
