Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a horizon-scanning framework to identify emerging technologies, market shifts, and societal trends impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Design and lead strategic foresight initiatives using scenario planning, trend analysis, and technology roadmapping
- Collaborate with R&D teams to translate future insights into actionable innovation portfolios and product roadmaps
- Deliver executive-level briefings and workshops on disruption risks, growth opportunities, and adaptive strategies
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
- Produce forward-looking thought leadership content including reports, whitepapers, and conference presentations
- Quantify future market potential and ROI for emerging opportunities using predictive modeling
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 experience
- Expertise in foresight methodologies including scenario planning, Delphi technique, and horizon scanning
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal implications
- Proven track record of translating future insights into successful commercial innovations
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, Business Strategy, or related field
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFIP) or innovation management preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating published future scenarios or trend analysis work
