Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across AI, biotech, quantum computing, and Web3 ecosystems
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps aligned with company vision and market disruption
- Facilitate future-back scenario planning workshops with executive leadership
- Architect and launch experimental innovation labs with $2M+ annual budgets
- Partner with product teams to embed foresight into development lifecycles
- Present trend reports and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors
- Mentor innovation specialists and build a future-focused culture organization-wide
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, R&D leadership, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record of implementing future-back strategies with measurable ROI
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies and sociotechnical systems
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CFCS, CFP) strongly preferred
- Exceptional storytelling and data visualization skills for complex concepts
- Experience scaling innovation frameworks across global organizations
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-shaping initiatives
