Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis across AI, biotechnology, climate tech, and quantum computing sectors
- Develop scenario-planning models for 2026+ market disruptions and competitive landscapes
- Design innovation frameworks for emerging technologies with $1B+ market potential
- Present strategic foresight reports to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Build cross-functional partnerships with R&D, product, and investment teams
- Author thought leadership publications positioning Horizon Labs as a future authority
- Monitor geopolitical and socioeconomic shifts affecting long-term strategy
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5+ year strategic roadmaps
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methods, and trend impact analysis
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for executive audiences
- Published research or patents in emerging technology domains
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through complex strategic transformations
