Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies and market disruptions with 5-10 year impact potential
- Develop and maintain the company's innovation pipeline framework, prioritizing moonshot opportunities aligned with strategic objectives
- Facilitate executive workshops on scenario planning, futures forecasting, and strategic risk mitigation
- Build and steward relationships with leading research institutions, venture capital firms, and academic pioneers
- Translate complex technological trends into actionable business strategies and investment recommendations
- Author thought leadership publications and represent the company at global innovation forums
- Mentor cross-functional teams in futures thinking methodologies and innovation processes
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Futurism, Strategic Innovation, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation management, or technology foresight at Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in AI/ML, biotech, quantum computing, or sustainable tech domains
- Exceptional facilitation skills for executive-level scenario planning and strategic sessions
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (journal articles, whitepapers)
- Strong network within global innovation ecosystems including VCs, research labs, and academic institutions
- Experience with futures research methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Technology Roadmapping)
