Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 2026 technology foresight framework using trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate breakthrough concepts
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members on emerging threats/opportunities
- Design and manage a $5M innovation pipeline with measurable KPIs
- Build and lead a dedicated futures intelligence team of 8-12 specialists
- Collaborate with R&D to integrate foresight findings into product development cycles
- Pioneer industry thought leadership through white papers, patents, and keynotes
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or equivalent C-suite experience
- Proven track record translating foresight into commercialized innovations
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics, or neurotech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major trend-to-market innovations
- Certification in Foresight Methodologies (e.g., WFS, MFBS) preferred
- Experience managing innovation budgets exceeding $3M
- Exceptional storytelling skills for complex technical concepts
