Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026+ foresight frameworks through horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into product roadmaps and strategic initiatives
- Establish early-warning systems for disruptive technologies and market shifts affecting our industry
- Present visionary narratives to C-suite executives and board members to drive strategic alignment
- Build and manage a network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers for continuous intelligence gathering
- Quantify future opportunities through predictive modeling and risk assessment methodologies
- Author thought leadership publications positioning our company as the future-shaping authority
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial opportunities (include 2+ case studies)
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi techniques, and scenario planning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating published futurist work or strategic frameworks implemented in real-world contexts
- Experience with futures simulation tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis, STEEP analysis)
