Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026+ technology innovation roadmap, identifying breakthrough opportunities across AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Analyze emerging trends, patent landscapes, and competitive disruptions to inform strategic R&D investments
- Partner with product teams to integrate future technologies into commercial roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional 'Horizon Scanning' initiatives to identify paradigm-shifting opportunities
- Present strategic vision to investors, board members, and industry thought leaders
- Build and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and tech pioneers
- Author thought leadership publications on technology's societal impact
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership at Fortune 500 scale
- Proven track record of anticipating and capitalizing on disruptive tech trends
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: AI, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into narratives
- Experience presenting to C-suite and board-level stakeholders
- Portfolio of published thought leadership or patented innovations
- Global perspective on technology's ethical and societal implications
