Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment (excavators, forklifts) with proper training
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling and task completion
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work environments
- Read blueprints and interpret construction plans to execute tasks accurately
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Complete daily site inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero tolerance for absenteeism
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as project demands require
