Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (concrete mixers, jackhammers) under supervisor guidance
- Assist carpenters and masons with layout, measuring, and material assembly
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site cleanliness
- Read blueprints and interpret construction documentation
- Transport materials using forklifts and manual lifting techniques
- Document daily progress and report equipment malfunctions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (training provided)
