Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential/commercial buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with contractors/clients
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
- Train apprentices on safety protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Valid Florida state electrician license (Journeyman or Master required)
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain immediately
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and Tampa municipal codes
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, clamp meters, etc.)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergencies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
