Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in residential/commercial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to execute projects accurately
- Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, and local regulations
- Diagnose electrical failures using testing equipment and implement effective solutions
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication throughout project lifecycle
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain detailed documentation of work performed
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia electrician license (Class A/B) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on electrical installation/repair experience
- Proven expertise reading technical drawings and following complex instructions
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes, local ordinances, and safety protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools
- Physical capability to perform job duties in various environments (climbing, lifting, confined spaces)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
