Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control circuits.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installations.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions efficiently and effectively.
- Train and mentor apprentice electricians when required.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols on job sites to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Journeyman Electrician License.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and electrical safety procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments (climbing ladders, heights, confined spaces).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
