Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Provide hands-on support during residential and commercial installations, repairs, and maintenance projects.
- Material Preparation: Pull wire, strip cable, and prepare fixtures, outlets, and switches for installation.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to understand circuit layouts.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety regulations are followed.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Help diagnose and resolve common electrical issues under supervision.
- Tool Management: Transport and organize tools and materials to and from job sites.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Math Skills: Basic proficiency in math, including fractions and measurements.
- Attitude: A strong willingness to learn, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety.
- Background: Clean background check required.
