Responsibilities
- Install and Maintain: Perform the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure client satisfaction.
- Tool Management: Maintain and properly use a wide variety of hand and power tools, including test meters and testing equipment.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Journeyman Electrician License required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of electrical theory, electrical codes, and blueprints.
- Skills: Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, circuit breakers, transformers, and wiring systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
