Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026+ Technology Horizon Scanning framework, identifying 50+ emerging trends annually across AI, biotech, quantum computing, and climate tech
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' workshops with Fortune 500 clients to translate foresight into actionable business strategies
- Author quarterly 'Future State Briefings' for executive stakeholders with predictive impact assessments
- Design and validate innovation pipelines using scenario planning and Monte Carlo simulations
- Represent the company at global futurist forums (World Economic Forum, Singularity University) and publish thought leadership
- Mentor a team of 3 junior futurists and oversee research partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Stanford HAI, and ETH Zurich
Qualifications
- 10+ years in futurism, innovation strategy, or emerging tech consulting with demonstrable impact on Fortune 500 roadmaps
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Causal Layered Analysis)
- Proven ability to communicate complex futures narratives to executive audiences through compelling data visualizations
- Published author or speaker at top-tier futurist conferences (WFS, Foresight Practitioners)
- Technical fluency in at least one programming language (Python/R) for trend modeling
- Portfolio showcasing 3+ successful futures-to-reality implementations
