Job Description
Are you ready to engineer the infrastructure of tomorrow?
2026 Systems is at the forefront of next-generation autonomous infrastructure. We are building the backbone for the 2026 Initiative, a revolutionary platform designed to redefine scalability in a post-silicon era. We are looking for a visionary Lead Systems Architect to lead our technical strategy and drive the development of high-performance distributed systems.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical research and production-grade engineering, ensuring our systems are resilient, secure, and capable of handling exabyte-scale data throughput.
Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Define the core technical roadmap for the 2026 Initiative, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term scalability requirements.
- System Design: Design and oversee the implementation of distributed systems, microservices, and high-availability cloud architectures.
- Performance Optimization: Drive initiatives to reduce latency, improve throughput, and optimize resource utilization across our global infrastructure.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, data scientists, and security experts to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Tech Stack Governance: Establish coding standards, review architectural proposals, and mentor engineering teams on best practices for the 2026 ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in software engineering and system architecture, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior architectural role.
- Technical Skills: Deep expertise in Go, Rust, or Python, and experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Cloud Expertise: Proven track record architecting solutions on AWS or Azure with a focus on serverless and event-driven architectures.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layered system issues and implement scalable fixes.
