Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential/commercial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications for project execution
- Ensure strict compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and Illinois state regulations
- Diagnose electrical faults using advanced testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery
- Implement safety protocols and conduct system inspections to prevent hazards
- Document work activities, maintain accurate records, and prepare compliance reports
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois State Electrician License (Journeyman or Master required)
- Minimum 5 years of verifiable electrical installation and maintenance experience
- Proven expertise reading electrical schematics and building blueprints
- Strong working knowledge of NEC, OSHA safety standards, and local ordinances
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, clamp meters, circuit testers)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and operate in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred
